Held in Contrast — Walnut & Ambrosia Maple Gift Box
A compact gift box pairing deep walnut with the expressive streaking of ambrosia maple, finished with warm brass hardware and a soft protective interior.
Made in 2024, this small gift box is built around the natural contrast between dark walnut and dramatically figured ambrosia maple. The walnut gives the box a rich, grounded body while the lighter maple lid turns its mineral streaks and colour variation into the focal point. Small brass hinges and a matching front clasp add a traditional detail, and the fitted dark lining creates a gentle resting place for jewellery, a handwritten note, or another meaningful keepsake.
